DAY 0 Thu 21 May The Tour Begins: Fly from Home to Tel Aviv, Israel.
DAY 1 Fri 22 May Arrive in Tel Aviv (Old Town Joppa): Begin with Jaffa / Joppa (Old Town) where two major events of the Bible took place. Overnight in Tel Aviv (2nts).
DAY 2 Sat 23 May Through the Coastal Plains: Travel out to the south and visit the archaeological sites of Gezer (Gezer Calendar); Tel Marakesh Bell Caves; Tel Azekah; and Tel Lachish – two of the ancient gate cities guarding the capital Jerusalem.
DAY 3 Sun 24 May Inland through the Jezreel Valley: Caesarea Maritima – Herod’s ancient engineered port city; travel up through the Jezreel Valley; to Mt Carmel; and Meggido. Overnight in Nazareth (2nts).
DAY 4 Mon 25 May Around Nazareth where Jesus grew up: Nazareth city walk; Mary’s Well; Church of the Annunciation; Nazareth Synagogue; the beautiful mosaics of Zippori; Cana where the wedding feast was held and Jesus turned the water into wine; Franciscan Wedding Church.
DAY 5 Tue 26 May Onto the Sea of Galilee: Nazareth Village – experience daily life in Jesus’ time; hike up Mt Arbel for a spectacular overview sight of the Sea of Galilee; view of Mt Tabor, one of the traditional sites of the Transfiguration. Overnight in Kibbutz Lavi (3nts).
DAY 6 Wed 27 May Following The Jesus Trail: Walk the Mount of Beatitudes (Sermon on the Mount); Tabgha; Church of St. Peter’s Primacy; Church of the Multiplication; Capernaum; Ginosaur for a traditional boat ride on the Sea of Galilee; special St. Peter’s Fish Dinner.
DAY 7 Thu 28 May Up to the Northern Tribe lands: Golan Heights; Gamla; Syrian border villages; view of Mt Hermon; Caesarea Philippi; Temple of Pan (Banias Springs); Tel Dan.
DAY 8 Fri 29 May Crossing into Jordan: Sheikh Hussein Bridge border crossing; Bethany Beyond the Jordan (Baptismal site); Madaba – ancient Moabite city with the oldest mosaic map of the Holy Lands; Mt. Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land and then died and was buried. Overnight in Petra (1nt).
DAY 9 Sat 30 May Tour Petra and the desert: Petra – the abandoned ancient stone city; Wadi Rum (“The Valley of the Moon”) 4WD desert tour; ride a camel; bedouin village visit; Overnight in Wadi Rum Bedouin Camp Site (1nt).
DAY 10 Sun 31 May Free Day in the seaside resort town of Eilat: Early morning cross-over into Israel at Wadi Araba border crossing; bus transfer to Eilat Hotel for check-in; remainder of the day is free for your leisure to explore Eilat and activities on the Red Sea. Overnight in Eilat (1nt).
DAY 11 Mon 1 Jun Into the Negev Desert: Start from the southern-most tip of Israel and journey northwards; Timnah Park and view a life-sized Tabernacle Replica; Mitzpe Ramon Crater; Tel Arad; Ein Avdat. Overnight at Ein Bokek / Dead Sea (2nts).
DAY 12 Tues 2 Jun On the Dead Sea: Masaada- the last standing Jewish fortress; Lot’s Wife salt formation; Ein Gedi – King David’s desert refuge; float on the Dead Sea.
DAY 13 Wed 3 Jun Ascent to Jerusalem: Qumran Caves and Dead Sea Scrolls; cross into the West Bank to visit Bethlehem; Shepard’s Fields; the Nativity Church. Overnight in Bethlehem (1nt).
DAY 14 Thu 4 Jun Around the Capital: Leave the West Bank to Jerusalem; Temple Mount; Western Wall; City of David & Hezekiah‘s Tunnel – a feat of ancient engineering; Davidson Center; Yad Vashem; Overnight in Jerusalem (2nts).
DAY 15 Fri 5 May The Old City of Jerusalem: Israel Museum (Dead Sea Scrolls Center and Ancient Temple and City Model); Via Delarosa; the Upper Room; Pool of Bethesda; Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
DAY 16 Sat 6 May Beyond the City Walls: Mt of Olives; Mt Zion; Golgotha and the Garden Tomb. Free Time for old city markets and shopping as time allows.
